16:30-18:00 'ESA's Rosetta mission', a talk for A level students by Dr Matt Taylor, European Space Agency
18:30-19:30 'From Mars to the multiverse', a public lecture by Lord Martin Rees, Astronomer Royal

Wednesday 8 July

9:00-18:00 Teaching training day (registration required)

Thursday 9 July

9:00-13:00 Pupil astronomy activity morning, for children aged 9-11

Throughout the conference the RAS will be issuing press releases on the exciting results presented at the meeting.

There are also two dedicated sessions on outreach as part of the science programme:

• Astronomy outreach and public engagement in the 21st century
• Bringing space to the classroom
