Rail

The closest railway station is Llandudno, which is approximately 10 minutes walk from the conference venue. There are a limited number of services to Manchester Piccadilly and destinations in north Wales.

Another station, Llandudno Junction, is located about three miles away, and has many more services including to Manchester Piccadilly, Birmingham New Street, Cardiff Central and London Euston. A half-hourly shuttle service runs from Llandudno Junction to Llandudno, or delegates can take a short (10 minute) taxi or bus ride into the town.

Road

Llandudno is the terminus of the A470 road. From locations in Wales there are many possible routes to reach the A470. For those coming from England, the fastest route is the A55 dual carriageway from Chester, which itself is at the end of the M56 motorway from Manchester. The A5 from Shrewsbury is a longer and slower way to cross north Wales, but may be more convenient for those coming from the south or south-west of England.

Air

The closest commercial airports to Llandudno are Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Manchester Airport. Liverpool has services from tourist destinations in Western Europe, whilst Manchester serves many more locations, including intercontinental flights.

Onward travel from the airport can be by rail from Manchester Airport or Liverpool South Parkway stations. Alternatively both airports have hire car facilities. See the rail or road instructions above.

Ferry

Delegates travelling from Ireland may find it most convenient to travel by ferry from Dublin to Holyhead, which is about 40 miles from Llandudno. Direct routes are operated by Irish Ferries and Stena Line. Foot passengers can continue their journey from the adjacent Holyhead railway station, which has direct services to Llandudno Junction.
