Delegates can join an evening visit to the nearby Conwy Castle, a few miles along the coast. Built for Edward I between 1283 and 1289, the castle is amongst the finest surviving mediaeval fortifications in Britain. It played a significant role in Welsh history, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The trip includes transport, a guided tour around the castle, and a traditional fish and chip supper served at the Fisherman’s Café in Conwy. It will be held on Monday 6 July, with transport departing from the conference venue at 18:15, and will last several hours.
The cost for the excursion is £22.50 per person.
