We present Helios plasma and magnetic field data taken in high speed solar wind streams at 0.29 AU, concentrating on velocity enhancements on the scales of minutes. We show that these enhancements are Alfvenic, and present detailed ion distributions within and around the structures. We discuss the origin of these structures and the implications for measurements by Solar Orbiter and Solar Probe Plus in the near future.
