Solar Physics in the era of ultra-high spatial resolution: Getting ready for DKIST
Mihalis Mathioudakis

The Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope will be a revolutionary new solar facility that will operate in the optical and near-infrared. Current UK detector technology has been highlighted as the best option for meeting the DKIST scientific requirements in the visible. With the UK participation in DKIST now secure, we discuss how the UK community will maximise the science return from what will be the pre-eminent ground-based solar telescope for the foreseeable future.
