The British Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics (BOAA) is being formed as a group within the British Physics Olympiad Trust (BPhO). The group is dedicated to the development and implementation of the Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics in British Schools. From 2016 it will set competition papers each year to select and train a squad and then a team to represent the UK at the International event, the IOAA. The Olympiad will be administered from the Department of Physics at the University of Oxford. We seek support and participation from all those interested in this new venture.
